Huawei may be working on a Huawei Gaming Console but will launch a Gaming Laptop first. Huawei may be working on a gaming console but will launch a gaming laptop first. Rumor has it that Huawei is considering entering the gaming hardware market. It starts small with a gaming laptop.

It was already underway to do so with the Honor Hunter V700, but the geopolitical situation has led to the sale of Honor (phones, laptops, and all). The Huawei gaming laptop is expected this year.

Huawei Gaming Console The sequel will be much more interesting: a game console that can compete with the Sony PlayStation and the Microsoft Xbox. However, there are no details on what kind of platform it will be. Based on the comparison to high-end consoles, it seems likely that this isn’t an ARM console like the Nintendo Switch, but something a little more rugged instead.

AMD formed a joint venture with Chinese partners a few years ago to produce Zen processors. Maybe an APU similar to the current PlayStation and Xbox is not excluded. But it doesn’t go without saying – Huawei might want to try something with its own silicone designs.

Like HiSilicon Kunpeng 920 chip based on the ARM instruction set. It was featured in the MateStation B515 computer alongside the AMD Radeon 430 GPU. Replace a stronger Radeon and you have a solid foundation for a console. But what software will it work?

Last year, Huawei launched GameCenter, a Huawei Media Services-based gaming hub for Android. In January, he fell out with Tencent Games and removed all titles published by Tencent from his store. Still, the GameCenter has plenty of Android games ready to be played.

With consoles, the most important thing is always the content, not the hardware, so having a ton of Android games ready for launch day is great. The other option would be a Linux-based operating system, but then Huawei will have to create a game catalog from scratch.

GAMING NOTEBOOK PLAN IN 2020:

Last year, Honor launched its first gaming laptop, Honor Hunter, which comes with pretty heavy specifications as well as a gamer targeted design. It’s also reported that Huawei was also prepared to reveal its own gaming laptop in 2020 but didn’t do so.

However, at the beginning of 2021, Huawei introduced new laptops – MateBook X Pro, MateBook 13 and 14, powered by 11th gen intel processor for maximum performance and the PC version of AppGallery.

Following this launch, Huawei has also planned to launch the AMD versions of the MateBook 2021 series but there’s no confirmation on that at the moment.

It won’t be Huawei’s first console, by the way, but we hope it will be better than the Tron console – a 2014 Tegra 4-powered Jelly Bean Android 4.2 console that few people remember.
