Google Pixel 6 updates: For the first time in months, Google has released two new November Android releases of its Pixel 6 and 6 Pro phones this morning.
It’s important to note that the A1 version of SD1A.210817.037.A1 is only available to Verizon customers for the two phones listed above. The other is a universal release that is available to everyone.

We’re holding our breath until Google explains the purpose of these modifications. If we learn more, we’ll be sure to include it in this piece. As far as mid-month updates go, this one could be closer to a full-fledged November build than what was previously mentioned. In fact, the builds that Google indicated when they distributed this month’s patch to other devices were virtually the day-1 update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
An update from Verizon this evening stated that the fingerprint reader on each phone had been fixed. According to Verizon, this update “improves the performance of your fingerprint sensor.” So, I guess we’ll have to try it out and see if that’s true.
