Apple Watch Series 7 has a bigger display in the same body, coming this Fall for $399. Apple’s new smartwatch has arrived, and it is not as flat as rumored. In fact, Apple boasts that the new model has softer, curved sides and a glass cover, making it more rounded.

The new, larger display in the same overall body is the most significant upgrade. By decreasing the bezels to 1.7mm, Apple was able to stretch the screen to the edges of the shell, making it 40% thinner than the Series 6. According to the manufacturer, this allowed the display to expand by 20%.

Water resistance

The glass cover on Apple’s Watch Series 7 is considerably more crack-resistant, and the watch also has an IP6X dust-protection grade in addition to the WR50 water resistance.

With freshly redesigned UI features, such as larger buttons, WatchOS will take advantage of the larger display. Notifications will now display more text, and the Apple Watch will now have a full QWERTY keyboard for texting. You’ll be able to tap or slide, and Apple QuickPath will guess what you’re trying to enter using machine learning.

Improvements to WatchOS

Apple claims that the battery life will remain the same at 18 hours, but that charging would be 33 percent faster thanks to the new USB-C fast charger. The Apple Watch Series 7 will charge from 0 to 80 percent in 45 minutes.

Apple’s new Apple Watch Series 7 comes in five new colors and is built entirely of recycled aluminum. Three stainless steel variants and a titanium model will also be available.
